Faith Inspirations

By guest blogger Monica Darga

FAITH

It is all God’s will that we do all that we do in faith,

"For without faith it is impossible to please him", Hebrews 11:6.

It was a foggy morning and my husband and I had decided to take our boat out for some fishing.

Oftentimes in our lives, we are surrounded by fog,

And cannot see the step in front of us.

It is then that we must remain in faith.

And eventually, as it did on that foggy morning,

The sun will come out.

God will lift the fog of our lives and bestow light.

Take a quiet moment and pray to God for the next step of faith.

Then do it.

RELATIONSHIPS

Just as a body, though one,

Has many parts, but all its many parts,

But all its many parts form one body,

So it is with Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12-13).

I love this verse, Paul writes and reminds us

That God invites all to be a part of his family.

We are all a part of the same Christian family,

God’s family,

And we must use the spiritual gifts God has given us to be a part of God’s body.

And as we encourage one another and combine our gifts, we find ourselves united together for the Glory of God.

List some of your gifts and how you can use them.

Emotions

Jesus wept (John 11:35).

The dictionary defines emotions as any of the feelings of joy, sorrow, fear, hate, love, etc.

Emotions are a gift from God.

To feel these emotions is to be alive!

Sometimes in our lives, we experience

Uncontrolled feelings.

Satan likes to attack our emotions, which happened

To me in my twenties with anger due to some family issues.

Sharing our feelings with God and studying the Word will bring

us nearer to our purpose in life.

What emotions are you feeling today? Identify these feelings and

Look up some scripture verses.

Self Care

Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?

(1Corinthians 3:16)

SSSH, don’t tell anyone, but my secret is every few months I take

A day off just to be by myself and spend time with God.

A whole day and my husband asks,

Do you want me to take it off with you?

No, I NEED THE DAY OFF BY MYSELF

Because I have learned that through the years,

I need this time to recharge myself.

God wants us to take care of ourselves,

So we can be his light in this world.

Go online and make a list for a

Self-retreat and schedule some time to take it.

Acceptance

For we are his workmanship,

Created in Christ for good works,

Which God prepared beforehand,

That we should walk in them

(Ephesians 2:10).

Do I talk too much? My hair is a strange color. I have a flat butt!

But guess what….God is an artist and I am his masterpiece.

I am a unique one of a kind,

Created by the ultimate master,

Who loves me and created me.

This is something, that living in a secular world,

We need to remember.

We are created all different in this world to connect and fulfill that one special purpose God has for us.

Today, write a thank you letter to God, for crafting, and take it out and read when you question yourself.

Stress

Come to me,

All of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens,

And I will give you rest

(Matthew 11:28-30).

What stresses you out?

We live a fast-forward society that encourages

Multi-tasking on our smartphones.

We need to permit ourselves to NOT do it all,

And remember that our load of stress and anxiety is not meant to be shouldered

By not just us, but also God.

Jesus makes a promise that if you come to him with our

Stresses, he will give us rest.

Listen to God and take a nap.

Generosity

If you give, you will receive.

Your gift will return to you in full measure,

Pressed down,

Shaken together to make room for more,

And running over.

Whatever measure you in giving-large or small-

It will be sued to measure what is

Given back to you

(Luke 6:38).

We were created like God, and God gives.

By choosing to give,

We reflect God’s generous nature,

And by living generously it gives us joy.

God was so generous,

He gave us his son.

Let us look at Jesus’s life as an example of living generously.

Today, give someone time and listen to a loved one.
