Prepared for Your Future
By Pastor Sharon Williams

Nothing is wasted when we walk with God.
We are constantly being prepared for something (every trial, every success, every challenge). What are you being prepared for now?
Ruth went to work in the field, and it became her inheritance. Jonah was prepared in the belly of a fish. Paul was blinded for three days. He was being prepared for his assignment.
Moses and Jesus were prepared for 40 days.
Read Genesis 24:10-14
Genesis 24:15 NLT
[15] Before he had finished praying, he saw a young woman named Rebekah coming out with her water jug on her shoulder. She was the daughter of Bethuel, who was the son of Abraham's brother Nahor and his wife, Milcah.
Before he finished praying God answered his specific prayer.
Genesis 24:16-17 NLT [16] Rebekah was very beautiful and old enough to be married, but she was still a virgin. She went down to the spring, filled her jug, and came up again. [17] Running over to her, the servant said, "Please give me a little drink of water from your jug."
Genesis 24:18-20 NLT [18] "Yes, my lord," she answered, "have a drink." And she quickly lowered her jug from her shoulder and gave him a drink.
Rebecca had no hesitation, she practiced hospitality.
[19] When she had given him a drink, she said, "I'll draw water for your camels, too, until they have had enough to drink." [20] So she quickly emptied her jug into the watering trough and ran back to the well to draw water for all his camels. She did more than he asked.
Read Verse 23-34
Verse 31: Laban, Rebekah’s brother goes to the well to check out her story. Verses 56-58: Yes, I will go.
Preparation- Rebekah was prepared by her family, and held by God until now. She was of age and yet not married.
She was respectful and kind.
She didn’t know she was giving water to her future inheritance. These camels and servants would become hers because she was the wife to Isaac.
1 Peter 1:13 NLT [13] So prepare your mind for action and exercise self-control. Put all your hope in the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT [16] All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. [17] God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. What is your preparation? Preparation
Willing heart- do anything
